Experiment § Two-component self-healing coating

At present, a two-component self-healing coating is mainly used in cars. A layer of self-healing coating is applied to the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) film, and after baking and aging, the finished product is attached to the sheet metal of the car. Due to the resilience of the coating, it can prevent micro-scratches when hit by small stones while driving. Our self-healing coatings are available in both self-healing and thermal-healing types. Without destroying the coating, the self-healing coating can restore the micro-scratches on the film surface within a few seconds at room temperature (Figure 1, 2), while the heat-healing coating can only be repaired at 50~60℃. In terms of other physical properties, we can provide hydrophobic and non-hydrophobic coating according to customer needs (Figure 3, 4). The product may be resistant to graffiti with a marker pen, resistant to solvents such as alcohol, IPA (Figure 5, 6), and also has good weather resistance. Welcome interested customers to contact us. ─Author: Mr. Tung-Chi, Pan

Activity § Daily life of Everwide

We invite plumber/electrician Mr. Zhi-Xing, Lin to open an in-plant maintenance course. The goal of the course is to let colleagues understand the distribution of electrical boxes in each plant area, the positions of switches, basic knowledge of water and electricity, daily safety maintenance, and finally produce the electrical box location table of each plant area (Figure 1, 2). Filling the ground holes and laying the floor paint in the factory, which is to prevent accidents due to uneven ground and make the working environment tidier (Figure 3, 4). To support Taiwan's high-quality agricultural products, we purchased 200 boxes of Annona squamosa Linn to share with our colleagues (Figure 5).

Knowledge § Definition of Composites

Composite materials are heterogeneous materials (Anisotropic) formed by combining two or more different substances and extracting the advantages of each composition. The composite material usually includes a matrix and a reinforcement material. The matrix material can be plastic, rubber, metal, ceramics, and the reinforcement material can be powder, particle, fiber, flake, etc. In most polymer composite materials, the substrate refers to resin, and epoxy resin and unsaturated polyester are the most common. Reinforcing materials refer to fibers, with glass fibers, carbon fibers, and Kevlar fibers being the most common.

Living § History and Ecology

Recently, I was experienced Tainan culture with my friends. The first stop is the Mountain Garden Waterway Museum. Entering the park is a wide garden full of flowers and trees. There are many installation arts along the road for tourists to appreciate and take photos. There are a number of children's amusement facilities and a play area for pets in the park, which is very suitable for parents and children. Behind the garden is the museum area, where there are historical monuments left over from the Japanese occupation period, such as quick filter tanks, quick filter cartridges, pumps, and water purification pools. Each device has a detailed description of its function and principle so that visitors can easily understand the water purification process. These devices not only improved the water sanitation in Tainan but also witnessed the evolution of tap water, which is of great historical significance in cultural history. After visiting the museum, we headed to the nearby Zuozhen Cultural Park. The park is divided into natural history education, story hall, life evolution, fossil hall, and exploration hall. The pavilion has more than 4,600 precious fossils, such as mammoths, saber-toothed elephants, ancient deer, crocodiles, etc. There is also an interesting interactive device on the scene to simulate the riverbed of Cailiao Creek, and you can experience the fossil excavation process by stepping on the water surface. During this trip, I spent a meaningful holiday, and I was able to broaden my knowledge and learn about different fields of cultural history.
