Experiment § Modified toughened resin
The main products of Everwide Chemical are epoxy resin and light-hardening resin. Improving the toughness of epoxy resin and changing the epoxy resin from hard/brittle to strong/tough has always been the subject of our research. Recently, the modified epoxy resin has been developed in the four courses. After adding it to the adhesive sheet adhesive formula, its adhesive strength has been significantly increased by 10-20%. The test results are as follows. The hardened film can be folded in half repeatedly without breaking, and its toughness and fatigue resistance are more remarkable, as shown in the left picture. It is particularly worth mentioning that the Tg of many epoxy resins will be significantly reduced after toughening. However, the Tg of this product can still reach 100°C, and the original characteristics can be maintained after the toughness is improved. If the toughening resin is formulated in a solvent, it can be used as a primer to coat the metal surface. The dry film protects the substrate and has the function of an adhesive when it is heated and bonded to each other, bonding the metal materials tightly and firmly. The table on the left shows the adhesive strength of the resin made into adhesive sheet glue, with an area of 3cm2 and a thickness of 250m, to aluminum.

Activity § International Optoelectronics Exhibition
Everwide Chemical has many products and electronic components related to the 3C industry. In addition to regularly participating in the Taipei International Electronics Show every year. This year, we specially participated in the 21st International Optoelectronics Exhibition to showcase our achievements in the optoelectronic industry. This time, we will exhibit our long-standing LOCA (Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive) liquid optical adhesive. LOCA is a high-transparency UV curing optical adhesive with excellent optical properties, suitable for the lamination of various optical sheets. For example, touch screens and various high-transparency optical material bonding applications. Adding the LOCA optical bonding layer and increasing the optical properties can also improve the anti-vibration, impact resistance, reduce moisture condensation and other properties. The biggest feature of LOCA is eliminating air gaps, making the module space thinner and the panel bearing capacity increased. In addition, LOCA can also control the refractive index so that the brightness and contrast of the screen increase, the viewing angle of the panel increases, so it can reduce cost. The picture on the left shows the effect of LOCA liquid optical glue. After using liquid optical glue on the right half of the screen, the screen becomes clearer and brighter, with more vivid colors. Knowledge § What is the reason for the poor weather resistance of epoxy resin?
Generally, the epoxy resin/amine hardener system of DGEBA often tends to yellow when exposed to the sun for a few days. The reasons are as follows: 1. The epoxy resin itself absorbs UV and easily enters the excited state. 2. The epoxy resin has an aromatic BPA structure, which is easy to resonate and develop color under ultraviolet light. 3. Fatty amine hardeners will form carbonates, which can easily lead to yellowing. 4. Amines are originally chemical auxochromes. 5. After the reaction of epoxy resin and aliphatic amine, a secondary hydroxyl group is generated, which will promote the dehydrogenation reaction in the photoaging reaction. Improving the after-resistance of epoxy resins is a long-term issue. Even if more additives (such as UV absorbers, antioxidants) are added, there is still no good answer to this day. The weather resistance of the epoxy resin after hydrogenation of DGEBA resin is partially improved, but the performance is not as good as that of PU or acrylic. Therefore, the epoxy resin/amine hardening system is mainly used for primer or indoor use and direct exposure. Try to avoid the application of sunlight.

When contacting customers, sometimes we often think that customers are "making things difficult" for us. If we turn this negative thought into a positive one and turn the customer's troubles into "the customer is urging us to make us better." Such an idea will be much simpler, and it will also promote us upward. By slowly turning all negative emotions into positive attitudes, we can discover more of the beauty and excitement of life. Don't tie pressure and troubles to your body anymore; when you encounter setbacks, turn around! Looking at things from another angle, we will find that things are not as bad as we thought. Turn all the forces intended to make you unpleasant and turn your thoughts into a force that accelerates you forward. Did you find it? You are moving forward, not hiding in a corner and drawing circles. What you have is a positive thinking mode. Can't the experiment be done? Change to "I have more opportunities to continue trying!" Are customers making things difficult for you again? Then it reads, "Customers want to have a better understanding of the product so that I have the opportunity to show it again!" Are your parents nagging you again? Change to "They are caring about me!" Do the child's grades plummet again? Change your mind to "He has one more chance to continue learning, and he can learn the parts that he won't be able to do again!" Reconsider, change your mind, change your thoughts, turn all negative emotions into positive forces, and turn all negative views into positive thoughts; with more powerful power, your life will be more different!
