Experiment § GF256 Acrylic Hydrophilic Coating Film

During heavy rain, whether driving a car or riding a motorcycle, water droplets adhering to frequently rain-exposed surfaces such as windshields, side mirrors, and helmet visors can easily cause blurred vision and affect driving safety. To address this issue, we have developed GF256 Acrylic Hydrophilic Coating Film (Figures 1 and 2). Unlike conventional anti-fog hydrophilic coatings, GF256 can rapidly spread water droplets and form a uniform water film when exposed to sudden splashes of large amounts of water. This effectively reduces visual interference caused by water droplet adhesion and significantly improves visibility while driving (Figure 3). Compared with commonly available wipe-on hydrophilic coatings, GF256 can maintain a stable hydrophilic effect even after long-term exposure to sunlight and rain (Figures 4 and 5). In addition, compared with photocatalytic hydrophilic materials and silicon dioxide (SiO₂)-based inorganic hydrophilic materials, this product offers a more competitive price while providing comparable performance. About Us § Supporting Charity and Caring for the Underprivileged

The Genesis Social Welfare Foundation has long been dedicated to caring for individuals in a persistent vegetative state and elderly people with disabilities, providing essential support to many disadvantaged families. In June, we participated in the Douliu Genesis Charity Fair to support this meaningful cause through concrete action. Before the event, the company organized volunteer recruitment and donation activities and purchased 200 charity tickets for employees, encouraging them to attend the event with their families and friends. Notably, several employees have served as volunteers for consecutive years, assisting with event operations despite the hot weather. Their dedication and compassion are a source of pride for us.

Knowledge § How Can Resin Be Colored Black?

Carbon black is one of the most commonly used and cost-effective black pigments. It offers excellent hiding power, tinting strength, and deep blackness, allowing materials to achieve a dark black appearance with only a small addition. Carbon black also provides reinforcing effects and improves weather resistance and aging resistance, making it widely used in coatings, rubber, and inks. However, carbon black is electrically conductive. In high-voltage environments, it may pose a risk of insulation failure and should therefore be avoided. In addition to carbon black, inorganic pigments such as black iron oxide, titanium black, copper chromite black, and bismuth sulfide can also be used to color resin black. These alternatives, however, generally have disadvantages such as higher cost, insufficient blackness, the need for higher loading levels, and a higher specific gravity that can lead to settling. As a result, they are typically reserved for specialized applications.

Living § Trust Your Choice, Shape Your Future

When facing important turning points in life, I do not wait for opportunities—I create them. When choosing a graduate school, I had to decide between the University of Texas and National Taiwan University. After considering medical care, tuition, and family support, I chose NTU and plan to broaden my international perspective through future exchange or dual-degree programs. To improve my English before school started, I decided to study abroad during the summer. Although my family could support me financially, I wanted to earn my own money. For four months, I worked as an intern on weekdays and a part-time job on weekends. I believe that paying for my own learning makes me value it more. This way of thinking comes largely from my family. I see family like a chair—everyone works together to keep it balanced instead of blaming each other. Once, I accidentally locked my car keys inside the car. My family did not blame me; they simply helped solve the problem together. This has also taught me to take action when facing difficulties. During college, I was scammed and faced financial hardship. Instead of regretting it, I immediately found a job to support myself.
