Experiment § Dial-Type Torque Wrench
To meet customer product testing requirements, we purchased a dial-type torque wrench with a maximum measurement capacity of 100 N·m (Figure 1), replacing the previous equipment with a maximum capacity of only 10 N·m and significantly expanding the torque measurement range. The equipment is mainly used to measure the torque of screws and verify the holding performance of the adhesive after screw fastening. The procedure is as follows: Apply the adhesive evenly to the screw threads and tighten the screw into the nut to complete the assembly (Figures 2 and 3). After the adhesive has fully cured, secure the test specimen in a vise (Figure 4), then zero and calibrate the torque wrench to ensure accurate measurement results. After calibration, rotate the torque wrench according to the standard test procedure until the screw begins to loosen. The maximum torque value recorded is used to evaluate the holding capability of the adhesive (Figure 5). This enables accurate and reliable data to be obtained as a reference for product validation and customer application evaluation.

About Us § Donation of an In-Home Service Vehicle
Yunlin County covers a vast area, and public transportation is less accessible in rural areas. Service vehicles are an essential means of transportation for the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation in caring for elderly people living alone. However, the existing vehicles are aging and frequently require repairs, increasing transportation risks. In response to a public welfare initiative, Everwide Chemical donated an “In-Home Service Vehicle” to support social workers in providing various in-home services. These include regular monthly visits to check on the elderly’s daily lives and physical and mental well-being; accompanying them to medical appointments and assisting with medication pickup to reduce the inconvenience of traveling to medical facilities alone; providing transportation to activities, allowing them to leave their homes and have more opportunities for social interaction; and delivering essential daily necessities, ensuring that care and support are not limited by transportation distance. As our society continues to age, the well-being of older adults requires the attention and support of everyone.
Knowledge § Three Stages of Polymer Creep (3)
Overall, creep causes the material to elongate while its cross-sectional area decreases. As the load divided by the cross-sectional area increases the stress, the deformation rate consequently increases. From a microscopic perspective, the molecular chains continuously extend, resulting in an increasing number of disentangled chains and faster chain slippage. In addition, chain ends and broken voids migrate and aggregate due to molecular chain movement. These effects cause the third stage of creep to exhibit a characteristic of “strain softening,” with the deformation rate increasing rapidly until fracture.
Living § Two Years as a Welfare Committee Member
After two years, our journey as welfare committee members has come to an end. When we first took on the role, some of us had been with the company for less than a year, making the responsibility both unfamiliar and challenging. We decided to take it as an opportunity to get to know our colleagues better. The most memorable experience was organizing the overseas employee trip, which involved coordinating with the travel agency, insurance providers, supervisors, employees, and nearly 200 family members. Planning the year-end banquet was another major challenge, and seeing it successfully conclude brought a strong sense of accomplishment—and relief. This experience also changed our perspective. As employees, we simply enjoyed company benefits; as planners, we learned how difficult it can be to balance different needs and opinions. Through these two years, we gained a deeper appreciation for the thought behind every welfare arrangement. Thank you to everyone who worked alongside us.
