Experiment § Anaerobic Adhesive for Magnet Bonding

This development project focuses on an anaerobic adhesive for magnet bonding, with emphasis on tensile strength, curing speed, and storage stability. One of the key challenges has been balancing curing speed against storage stability: despite the adhesive's relatively high reactivity, it remains uncured after 10 hours at 80°C, from which good storage stability at room temperature can be inferred. Magnet adhesives used in motors must also deliver strong bonding, heat resistance, and environmental durability, and environmental testing is currently
underway to confirm that the adhesive meets actual application requirements. Going forward, the know-how gained from this development will be applied to anaerobic thread-locking adhesives and two-component structural adhesives, expanding the range of materials and service conditions covered. Yong Kuan currently offers structural adhesives for low-surface-energy plastics, capable of bonding PP, PA (nylon), POM, and PE - see the KA Series in Figures 1–4. - Author: Ms. Hsieh Yi-Ling
About Us § Beach Cleanup and MUYi DIY Factory

This coastal cleanup was jointly participated in by Everwide Chemical staff and their families, the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TCCF), and the Changhua City Yangming Community Water Environment Patrol Team. Working along the shoreline, everyone collected scattered waste such as plastic bottles, expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, and fishing nets, clearing a total of approximately 265 kilograms of waste. Among them, a veteran employee who had participated multiple times shared, "Our trash-collecting technique is getting more skilled, and I will definitely come back next year to challenge and break the record!" Afterward, the group headed to the MUYi DIY Factory to paint dolphin magnets, concluding the cleanup event on a high note filled with laughter.
Knowledge § How to Improve Anaerobic Adhesive Surface Drying?
The way anaerobic adhesives overcome oxygen inhibition is by adding wax to the resin. During the curing reaction, the wax migrates to the surface and isolates the adhesive from air, resulting in a dry, cured surface. However, several factors need to be considered when adding wax. High-molecular-weight wax may crystallize and precipitate in the resin, while low-molecular-weight wax may have high compatibility with the resin and therefore may not migrate to the surface during curing. Too little wax may not effectively block oxygen, while too much wax may affect the adhesive strength. In general, the wax needs to be compatible with the liquid anaerobic adhesive but incompatible with the cured solid, which depends on the structure of the wax itself as well as the composition of the resin. Therefore, extensive
experimentation is required to achieve the desired performance.
Living § Blue Skies, Blue Seas & Fun in Guam

During this eight-day trip to Guam, the breathtaking ocean views and beautiful sunsets from the hotel balcony each day made it especially relaxing. The journey included visits to the scenic Two Lovers Point, Tumon Bay for ocean views and shopping, Fish Eye Marine Park for a close-up look at the underwater world, and the lively and authentic Chamorro Village Night Market. I also enjoyed live-fire shooting, snorkeling, and a dinner show. The most unforgettable moment was witnessing a remarkably clear total lunar eclipse in Guam. As the night sky grew darker and the moonlight gradually disappeared, everyone stopped to admire the view. Beyond the scenery, the friendliness and warmth of the local people also left a deep impression, with their welcoming “Hafa Adai” often heard as a greeting. During the trip, a local resident struck up a conversation with me and even asked me to teach him how to say “hello” in Chinese, which he immediately learned. I also met Norwegian retirees who had visited Hualien and Kenting, making the encounter feel especially friendly. The island also offered interesting sights, such as wild chickens that multiplied after typhoons damaged their coops, and buffalo statues symbolizing Chamorro agricultural culture. At a golf course, the signature cliffside ocean-view hole requires golfers to hit the ball across the Pacific coastline, and those who land on the green in one shot can receive a certificate, making it a classic photo spot for golf fans. With its beautiful scenery and warm hospitality, Guam is truly a wonderful vacation destination. - Author: Mr. Liu Wen-Yi
