Experiment § Fill the LED with soft glue

LED-wall washers are mostly used outdoors, for decorative lighting of buildings, bridges, gardens, etc. Most of these products need to be filled with resin for sealing protection to prevent moisture and dust from entering. Some wall washers will have a PC shell to protect the LEDs. The resin will not flood the surface of the LEDs, and it has almost no effect on the performance of the wall washer. Some wall washers do not have a PC shell to protect the LEDs, and the poured resin directly floods the LEDs. At this time, the cured resin will become a part of the wall washer's appearance, which has a relatively large impact on the product (Figure 1). In the past, there are several types of resins used for perfusion: 1. Silica gel: the best high temperature and weather resistance, but low hardness, low surface tension, easy to adhere to dust and dirt (Figure 2, placed indoors for half a year, the surface has been wiped many times but It still adheres to the dust that is difficult to remove); 2. PU: second in weather resistance, temperature resistance below 100 ℃ depends on the formula; 3. Epoxy hard rubber: the highest hardness, the lowest cost, poor temperature resistance and weather resistance, easy to yellow, easy to peel off from aluminum extrusion. Everwide Chemical has developed the latest epoxy soft glue. Its temperature resistance and weather resistance are quite similar to PU. The refractive index is the highest among these three materials. There is no shortcoming that silica gel is easy to get dirty. It is a good choice for designing high-quality wall washers and resin perfusion.

Activity § ISO/TS16949 Internal auditor course

Many new colleagues joined Everwide last year. In order to give them the opportunity to understand the ISO system architecture, implement the spirit of full participation in continuous improvement, and train our new colleagues, we use Saturday to arrange a 12-hour ISO/TS 16949 internal auditor training course. In the two-week course, we started with the analysis of the provisions, introduced the overall structure of ISO9001, and imported the ISO/TS16949 flowchart, then grouped case discussions, and finally accepted the test. Colleagues with outstanding performance receive public awards at the year-end meeting. After the year, there will be discussions about some examination papers, explaining the confusion of concepts, so that everyone can learn effectively. In fact, we have done similar training several times, and we insist that no matter which department, new colleagues must receive similar training. The company has invested huge resources. The lecturers, handouts, and examination papers are all held by colleagues. Everyone has some contribution to the ISO. Only then can we build a flexible system that can be continuously improved.

 

Knowledge § The process of thawing the hose

Many adhesives are packaged in hoses and stored in a low-temperature environment to ensure the stability of viscosity and reactivity. Generally speaking, the frozen (2~13℃) hose is placed in a sealed bag, placed directly at room temperature to equilibrium temperature, and then taken out of the bag to use. The hose is placed in the sealed bag to prevent moisture in the air from adhering to the hose, causing subsequent troubles. The frozen (-5~-40℃) hose is placed in the sealed bag. It is best to put it in a refrigerated environment for a period of time, and then put it at room temperature to equilibrium temperature. This process is to avoid excessive temperature changes during the process from low temperature to room temperature, and the expansion of the rubber tube and the resin in the tube is not synchronized. If the temperature of the hose rises relatively quickly, a relatively large expansion occurs, and the temperature of the resin in the tube rises slowly, and it does not expand. The difference in volume between the two will cause a cavity in the tube to lack glue. This kind of cavity does not exist at the time of shipment and will only occur when it is thawed. Once it is generated, it will not fill up by itself at room temperature, which is very troublesome. In other words, the lower the storage conditions, the slower the process of returning to room temperature, the better.

 

Living § Adventures of Nanheng highway

Nanheng Sanxing refers to the three mountains (Taguan Mountain, Kuhanosin Mountain, Guanshanling Mountain) that are easy to climb along the Nanheng Highway. As the section behind Meishan on the Nanheng Highway was damaged for nearly 6 years, most climbers cannot climb these three mountains. People say that the places that can't be reached are the most beautiful, so in mid-March, we asked the guide to take us on the "special path" and we must go to appreciate it. After reaching the top of Mount Taguan on the first day, we stayed overnight at the Kuhanosin Mountain House and planned to set out for climbing early in the morning. Unexpectedly, thunder, heavy rain, and hail occurred at night. For safety, we had to descend after dawn and return to Meishan from the "special path". The problem is that there is a section of the road from Meishan to Baolai which is a temporary access road at the bottom of the stream (Figure 1), which was destroyed by floods, so we were trapped in the tribe for three days and two nights. The General Administration of Highways urgently built a liaison road to let everyone connect from the small agricultural road to the undamaged road. Our car was unable to shift gears due to a malfunction on a steep road, so let the car behind us drag us backward to turn the curve (Figure 2, 3). The highway was connected to the emergency repair road in the valley, but the mountain wall suddenly rolled down and hit the red boxcar that helped us back up. Fortunately, the people in the car escaped in time (Figure 4, 5). Finally, back to the Southern Cross-Island Highway, with the second gear uphill, downhill step neutral, and go back in embarrassment (Figure 6).
