Knowledge § How to evaluate thermal shock capacity? (2)

In the last issue of the e-newsletter, we introduced the Washer Test's test piece production method. Then we will introduce the evaluation method of the thermal shock capacity. There is no general standard specification for the evaluation of thermal shock. The most common way is to place a Washer test piece under specific experimental conditions to observe the occurrence and number of cracks. As for the experimental methods and conditions, they are all determined by experimenters themselves. The following two examples are listed for your reference: Example 1, (1) Make 10 washer test pieces; (2) Put these 10 test pieces at 140oC/30min; (3) Put these 10 test pieces immediately at -40oC/15min (in an ice bath made of dry ice and acetone); (4) after placing at room temperature for 15min, record the number of test pieces with cracks; (5) repeat steps (2)~(4), a total of 10 (6) The experimental results are shown in Table 1. Example 2, (1) Under proper hardening conditions, make several Washers test pieces; (2) Put these test pieces at room temperature, and then perform the thermal shock test according to the order in Table 2; (3) Each Before an experiment, it is necessary to check whether the test piece has cracks; (4) When the test piece has cracks, record the score and stop the experiment; (5) When the test piece does not have cracks, it can enter the next experiment; (6) The experimental results are as follows: Table 3.

The thermal shock characteristics are pretty informative but cannot represent the actual situation. The safest case is to experiment with practical applications.

Living § On-site continuous improvement (1)

The partitions were added under the ventilation fans in the packaging area on site. The area could not be stored efficiently before the addition (as shown in Figure 1). After the upper 30cm block was drawn, sorting boxes of different sizes were used (as shown in Figure 2); the lids of the packaging materials can be effectively classified. The small chairs that were initially scattered outside (as shown in Figure 3) also have seats that can be put away, and the overall look is much more refreshing (as shown in Figure 4).
