Experiment § Things needing attention when using defoamers
Most defoamers are not compatible with resins (such as Silicon). The defoamer is usually dispersed in the resin. When it encounters bubbles, it will diffuse to the interface between the bubbles and the resin, allowing the bubbles to agglomerate with each other, float up to the surface of the liquid, and finally break. In a system with low viscosity, bubbles will naturally rise. In high-viscosity systems, bubbles are not easy to rise naturally and break bubbles, and vacuum deaeration is required at this time. Since the defoamer adheres to the interface between the air bubbles and the resin and then floats to the surface of the resin along with the air bubbles, it is easy to find the oily surface of the hardened material in a system where the resin and hardener are mixed.
The interesting question is: If the defoamer floats to the surface, is there any defoamer in the resin? It is an important problem because we found that the resin that has been evacuated is stirred by hand and then vacuumed again. In this case, the defoaming ability becomes worse! A possible explanation for this phenomenon is that the defoamer had already floated to the surface when the vacuum was first applied. When remixing the resin by hand, the shear force provided by hand is tiny, not enough to re-disperse the defoamer effectively. There is no way to break the defoamer into small droplets and evenly disperse it in the resin, so the second time, The ability to vacuum to defoam has deteriorated. From this point of view, the defoamer should not be dripped, and it is only necessary to think about the state of the defoamer in the resin at this stage to have a good performance.

The figure on the right is a schematic diagram of the bubbles floating up after the defoamer is added to the resin. The red rod-shaped substance in the picture represents the active interface material that stabilizes bubbles, and the black double-pronged rod represents the defoamer. If the black double-forked rods only appear on the surface, are the bubbles under the liquid surface easy to exist stably, and is it not easy to float up and break the bubbles?

Activity § New motion and new hope
Thanks to the support and cultivation of customers and all walks of life, the third plant of Everwide Chemical officially started construction in August this year. The third plant of Everwide will build a four-story and one-story building with five floors and a total floor area of 1,000 square meters. The third floor of Everwide continues the design of the second factory. The fourth floor is the staff dormitory, and 17 individual suites and central kitchens are planned to give the lodging colleagues a more expansive space for activities. According to the situation, the third floor is reserved for the use and designed for future use. The second floor is the small-batch automatic sub-assembly area of the manufacturing department, and it is expected that there will be more than two production lines to accelerate the production progress. The first floor is a large-scale raw material warehouse area where the steel beam and iron frame are installed. They can facilitate the storage of raw materials and ensure the safety of the raw materials. The basement is a garage area, which is convenient for colleagues to avoid the trouble of parking at work.
The third plant of Everwide is expected to be completed next summer. We look forward to the new plant area that will bring new strength and hope to our colleagues; we will also work harder to return customers with better products and quality and continue to move forward in the next decade.

Living § I want to cross Sun Moon Lake once in my life
Colleagues are clamoring to cross Sun Moon Lake. They have been talking for two or three years, and finally, this year, they were excited about trying new things and a little nervous about the challenges. Because I never swim in the morning, I feel so cold before going down to Sun Moon Lake, and I am worried that the water temperature will be so low that it makes people lose the temperature. Surprisingly, the pool water is warm.
There are crowds when you first enter the water, and if the swimmers in front are too slow, they will hinder the swimmers behind. I wanted to swim with other colleagues, but the crowd dispersed me in the water in a blink of an eye. At the beginning of the crossing, the waves came to draught, and I suddenly felt that my heartbeat was too fast and my condition was embarrassing. It was much worse than the swimming pool practice. The most frightening thing is that the Sun Moon Lake swimming pool is not bottom. I tried to let go of the floating stick and started swimming several times. Thinking hard about countermeasures, I caught a gentleman's frog-style rhythm and began to swim with his beat. That's not bad. The trick is to relax and relax physically and mentally. Even if the waves are brought up and eaten water, try to drink the water calmly. Finally, I started to swim alone. In a very smooth and perfect situation, I saw the end of Dehuashe not far away. I felt that adding another two thousand meters would be OK when I landed.
After an hour and a half, I finally crossed Sun Moon Lake. On the way back to the hotel, someone delivered drinks, chocolates, and ginger soup. It felt great to experience Taiwan's human touch and snacks. This event is not only the number of people crossing a record high, but also many foreign tourists and mainland swimmers participating, turning Sun Moon Lake into a world-class, and it is also another focus of attention. The first on the left is the conference chairperson: President Jian-ting, Liu of the Puli Town Four Seasons Morning Swimming Club. We met him by chance before the crossing, and we applauded him for the success of this event.
